The first one I remember was on my Lambretta - Wide-style - that made it a narrow style!
My Lambo kept on getting stolen so I diconnected the kick start inside and tied it up with very visible string.

One evening when I was 16, I was playing DJ for 10-11 year old kids.
After, I went out to the Lambo and, with a cursory glance at the kick to make sure it was still in the "up" position
I bump-started and set off down thiss country lane.
Just going into the left curve of a sharp left-right I heard something metallic hit the floor on the right of me!!
I looked down and saw the kick-starter touching the floor.
I knew that I would have to learn to fly soon so I straightened up and headded for the grass.
Just as I reached it the kick dug into the ground and I took off.
I landed very DIRTY but at least soft!

What I found out had happened was that someone had tried to steal it as normal.
What was different was that they refixed the kick with Sellotape.
Did I mention that it was pissing down and that Sellotape is not waterproof?

We were out in the country! I wonder who tried to steal my bike!?!?
